How to read a SignalXI pick
A SignalXI card summarizes several layers of information. No single number should be treated as a guarantee; what matters is how the inputs fit together.
1. Market and selection
The selection states the exact condition being evaluated, such as Over 2.5 Goals, Both Teams To Score, Draw No Bet or a corners market. Start by identifying exactly what must happen for the pick to settle as a win.
2. Probability
The probability is the model's estimate for the event. A 71% estimate does not mean the individual outcome is certain. Probabilities become meaningful when they are evaluated across sufficiently large, comparable samples.
3. Odds
Odds are the market price observed when the pick is verified. Low odds are not automatically good and high odds are not automatically bad. The price must be compared with the model's estimated probability.
4. Edge
Edge describes the difference between the model probability and the implied probability derived from the available odds. A positive edge means the model values the event more highly than the current market price implies.
5. Expected value
Expected value combines probability and price to describe the theoretical average value of repeated decisions under similar conditions. Positive EV does not guarantee profit on a single selection.
6. Confidence labels
Labels such as HIGH or WATCH help classify analyses according to probability, data quality, price and historical segment behavior. They should never be read as “safe” or “guaranteed.”
7. Bookmaker and status
The listed bookmaker shows where the reference price was verified. Status can include pending, won, lost, push or void. SignalXI keeps these settlements so the public record includes both positive and negative outcomes.
The correct way to read a card
A SignalXI pick should be read as a combination: clear market + independent probability + verified price + edge + EV + sufficient data quality. The platform prioritizes that complete relationship rather than any isolated metric.
